ANNUAL REPORT 2017-18
I am privileged to undertake, the pleasant duty of presenting the report of activities of the academic year 2017 -18. As I look back, I thank the wonderful way in which the Lord Almighty has led us. At the onset, let me pay obeisance to our founder chairman and spiritual father His Eminence The Most Reverend
Dr K P Yohannan, Metropolitan of Believers Eastern Church for his encouragement and guidance.
The academic year, 2017 – 18 ushered us into one more evolutionary year with splendid glimpses of success. The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and critically. The goal of education is to form men and women of character and intelligence. ………. students entered into this temple of learning in June 2017, with excitement, optimism and aspiration. Academic activities began from the next day. Each day has its own spice and flavour, which made it, the year it was.
Teacher Empowerment
Great teachers help create great students. Informed and updated teachers play the most important factor in student achievement. It has been critical for us to train both new and experienced educators. Several trainings we held round the year. Our share of training extended to other schools as well.

School Assembly
Our assemblies are an important feature of our school life. They act as one of the main ways by which we create a positive reflective ethos and provide value based education.
Reading Week
Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body. To commemorate the event, a week long programme was held highlighting the need to read and grow. We at BCRS do everything to bring reading to the door step of our classes. In connection with this, various inter house activities were conducted. To name a few, the Poster Making, Bulletin Board competitions, Best Class arrangement, Quiz for both teachers as well as students. The winners were honoured with certificates from The Indian Express. Special Assemblies were also conducted with regard to the Reading Week.
Independence Day
Freedom is not given, it is won. Celebration of this freedom was indeed not an ordinary one for the Believers Church Residential School family. Beyond the usual ceremonies, this year’s celebrations opened doors for the BCRS family to connect and share patriotic feelings with fellow citizens. To commemorate the freedom struggle, a variety of events were held in the school which promoted the spirit of togetherness.
Investiture
Individually is the key to success.
The investiture is a ceremony where we as a school, respect and acknowledge the upcoming leaders and repose our trust in them. The council took the pledge “to be the light of the school” by setting an example for others to follow.

Bible Fiesta and Good News Fridays
All scripture is inspired by God. Various competitions were held to help our children be better navigators in the word, have reflection of the self and of course practical wisdom .Learning scripture the practical way was done through the skits, mono acts, elocution, extempore and so on.
Good news Friday is held every Friday afternoon to provide unique insight into the word of God. We remind out students again, it’s the word of God which is the strongest weapon in this trouble torn world.
JOY OF GIVING
It is our duty to educate our children that service to mankind is service to God. It is not the receiver who is blessed but the giver. Our children contributed in plenty clothes, books, toys and stationery items which ultimately reaches the slums, orphanages, and people stuck by natural disasters.
Co curricular Activities
Today, education is not being an information center of teaching and learning. We provide a conducive learning environment. Christmas Celebrations
Christmas, the incredible act of love, was celebrated with joy and jubilation .The heart throbbing musical performances with skits and angelic dances was a tribute in truth to the lord of lords and king of kings.
