November 14th, which marks the Children’s Day, is a day of significance to the Believers Church Residential School. It is on this day every year that we hold a special fund raising social programme to help the poor and the needy children from the deprived rank of the society. Last year, the celebration was launched under the banner PHANTASM JUMBOREE. This year the second season of the programme was conducted with gaiety and honour. The celebrations included a special assembly to commemorate the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of free India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and a special cultural bonanza by the teachers. The Jumboree included Game shows, magic show, food stalls, Mini theatres, musical shows and scary houses set up by the students. The funds thus raised from the jamboree goes for meeting the medical expenses of atleast three children from economically backward homes.
